About ERTF

IMC Economic Research and Training Foundation (ERTF) was established in 1958 as a special service outfit of Indian Merchants’ Chamber (IMC) in commemoration of IMC’s Golden Jubilee.

IMC-ERTF is objectivized to function as a dedicated institution for research and training in order to carry out a range of in-house and sponsored studies to guide public policy and to organize training programs and in-depth discussions on topical / contemporary issues with a view to align / remain congruent with the activities of IMC and its diverse membership.

IMC-ERTF believes that research has become increasingly important for vitalizing any developmental activity. Conceptually, it is recognized that research is the mother of development, as research can give new dimensions, create new opportunities and help address emerging challenges in this dynamic and ever evolving world. To navigate through increasing economic complexity, research helps to optimize solutions by looking at familiar things from unfamiliar angles.
